Backstory

Magic

Reinforcement Veteran
Elysande began her career providing defensive support with her magic, but was never satisfied with her role. She began to train her body and use her reinforcement magic to strengthen herself into a formidable warrior.

Magic: The Phalanx
Reinforcement is the underlying magic at work. She is able to strengthen anything beyond what is normally possibly by restructuring and supporting it with magic. This also increases the weight on the affected targets of her reinforcement. She uses this to provide herself with greatly enhanced strength and durability.

She is able to project this magic outward to create shield shaped magical objects that are able to withstand heavy damage. She has three typical forms for her shield. The first is a buckler that provides more mobility and has a small defensive coverage and weaker, but faster shield based attacks. The second is a kite shield that provides a larger defensive coverage at the cost of some of her mobility and has greater attack power than the buckler. The third is the tower shield that provides the largest defensive and offensive boost, but the weight of it slows her mobility and attack speed.

Signature Ability:
Shield Slam: Ely shapes her magic into a shield that she uses to hammer an opponent with her oppressive strength. The force of this attack can easily knock away the most stalwart of foes and create an opening in their defense.

Passive Abilities:
Reinforce: Ely is constantly reinforcing her body to increase her strength and endurance. She expends very little magic power to maintain this effect subconsciously. She can choose to actively amplify the effects by expending more magic power and focus.

Heavyweight: By constantly being reinforced, Ely has increased her weight dramatically. Though a lady will never tell by how much. This allows her to withstand most wind pressure and light attacks without flinching.

Offensive Abilities:
Asteroid Impact: Ely leaps high into the air and uses her shield to protect herself from the coming impact with the ground and her opponent.

Colossal Smash: Ely winds up and punches the ground with her shield causing a massive shockwave that will stumble her opponents and fracture the ground. Direct hits with this attack would be lethal to all but the most stalwart of foes.

Advancing Charge: Ely raises her shield before her and sprints forward at full speed hoping to trample her opponent or pin them against a wall or obstacle.

Defensive Abilities:
Shield Wall: By holding her shield in front of her and slamming it into the ground while remaining stationary, the shield extends its effective cover to defend both herself and anyone behind her in a cone shaped area.
